Now Hiring - Full-time and Part Time Center Sales Associate - $12 - $14/hr in Apex, NC

The UPS Store is here to help individuals and small businesses by offering a wide range of products and services. We are locally owned / operated and conveniently located in Chapel Hill, NC and Apex, NC. Multiple open positions at Chapel hill and Apex location.

We are currently looking to bring on a Full Time & Part Time Center Sales Associates to help in daily operations! Our UPS Store Center Sales Associates deliver world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices.

We need someone with experience, who lives close, and is ready to take the position head on!

Entry level or college students are welcome to apply! Notary licensing will be a part of employment agreement.

Required Hours *

Mon-Fri: 8am-6:30pm
Saturdays - 9am - 4pm,
Sundays - 11am - 3pm
Part-time or Full-time weekdays shifts also available:

Part-time: 2-3 weekdays - 8am - 12:30pm shift or flex evening shift from 1:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Full-time shifts: between M-F 8am - 6:30pm, Sat: 9-4, Sun: 11-4

What you'll need to be considered for an interview
1) 3+ years retail experience
2) Enjoys a fast paced environment
3) 1+ year Experience in The UPS Store, Fed-Ex Kinkos or any shipping / quick print shops will considered for the high end of wage scale.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

UPS Store Center Sales Associate Requirements:

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, and/or sales background is a huge plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods of time required.
• Notary license preferred, if not, willing to get your license!
• Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook
• High school education or GED equivalent required
• Computer skills need to be strong
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bonus - working experience with Adobe Creative Cloud

UPS Store Center Sales Associate Responsibilities:

• Sell, Sell, Sell – You will learn the various benefits for products and services.
• Sales: Confidently explain various products and services. This includes upselling and cross selling products to the customer at hand. You will be the expert and customers will look to you for answers.
• Packaging Services: Perform estimates and pack high value & fragile contents for shipping per training methods. Help customers select moving supplies.
• Shipping Services: Receive & process packages for US Post Office, UPS or Freight services including lifting & weighing packages on scale, accessing CMS shipping software, generating labels, providing receipts & tracking information to customers.
• Document Services: Operate binding, laminating, fax, digital printers, computers and other machines in a safe & efficient. Help customers select business cards, stationery, imprinted products, etc.
• Mailbox services: Explain mailbox service rates, benefits and the mailbox services agreement. Receive, log in, sort and place mail in mailbox modules accurately. Forward mail per customer instructions.
• Opening/Closing Procedures: Turn-on / Login to systems, tend to various tasks to open/close the store in accordance with store procedures.
• Cleaning & Upkeep: Vacuum, sweep, dust, wipe, shine. Everyone on the team works on keeping the store clean and debris free.
• Performing other duties as assigned
